ABOUT US

CARMELITA PEREZ MORDENO, FOUNDER

CPM Foundation’s mission is to provide programs that enhance and give value to the unique abilities of very special people. They are referred to as special needs, but it is their unique characteristics and perspective that make them special.

As a grandmother of children with special needs, this cause is very personal.  I see the struggles and challenges of not just my grandchildren, but their mothers who are my daughters and their husbands, as well as their siblings and their caregivers.  Parents and their children deserve program offerings otherwise not available to them.  We want to see these children integrate into the community and learn skills to help them become contributing members of their community.

CPM Foundation does this by planning, funding, and operating programs focusing on recreational activities, daily living, employment opportunities, and development of skills to eliminate the ‘needs’ part of special and show themselves and the world that they are ‘special’ in the most positive sense of the word.

To fund our programs, we need your support.  It is a win-win situation when we benefit from your participation and you receive the goodwill which comes as a result of your generosity.  Together we can make a difference in the lives of these children and their families.  Thank you and God bless!

CARISSA PACCERELLI, CO-FOUNDER

I advocate for people with autism and other developmental disabilities, which others refer to as "individuals with special needs" or "special people or special kids".  The term 'special needs' has a negative connotation to some people, which limits participation in regular activities and other opportunities.  We want to change that.  Our goal is to improve the lives of special people by giving them opportunities to participate in activities and learn skills to help them in the community.

Along with my grandmother, Carmelita, whom I call "Lola", our junior executive advisory committee, and volunteers, we have several activities planned this year and are excited to work along with these "special kids".  We hope that you can share your time, talent, and resources to further our cause.  Thank you!
